Please provide your background information prior to beginning the simulation study.
Please read the operational scenario and your assigned group parameters carefully.
Purpose: The purpose of this simulation is to test how different philosophical management styles affect output and organizational performance.
The Scenario: You are the manager of a busy lemonade stand located in an area prone to sudden rainstorms. Your team has just received a high-priority order to produce 50 glasses of lemonade as quickly and accurately as possible.
Focuses on how managers make decisions when distributing resources like time, energy, and attention across employees of varying performance levels.
After providing general demographic information, participants will play an online simulation game based on running a virtual lemonade stand that will take less than 15 minutes.
These will be standard risks associated with playing an online computer game, which may include computer fatigue but can be mitigated entirely by exiting the simulation at any point by closing the browser.
There is not direct benefit to your participation. However, your participation will help provide a better understanding of how managers and leaders can better allocate resources to help teams and organizations move forward in the future.
No specific user data will be collected. Your participation is completely anonymous. You will not be asked for your name or the organization you work for. However, you will be asked to provide your industry, years of experience and confirm that you have had at least two direct reports for at least a year. Any of this information reported will be reported on aggregate.
Your participation in this simulation is completely voluntary. There is no benefit or drawback to confirming participation or declining it.
